{February 17, 2012}   VAL-A-TART 2012

What IS an VAL-A-TART?
It’s a marathon create-your-favorite-art, done over the same day and time in each time zone, ending on Valentine’s Day.
It’s kind of like we were all together for the weekend to play with our art supplies and this thread is our play room.

HOW IT WORKS: At 12:01 am on Friday, Feb 10th (your time zone) start creating art, then upload your lovely creations to your gallery and post to the thread. Continue throughout the weekend and on till Valentine’s Day! Trading and chatting ensues. At 6:00 pm on Tuesday, Feb 14th (your time zone) you’re done creating art… however you may continue to chat and trade as long as you like. (6:00 pm is to give time for that romantic evening on your
social schedule).

{February 7, 2012}   Journal Monday ~ De ma bourse

“I love what everyone is doing in their art journal. I just started an junque/art journal, but i don’t think i’m going to maintain it, cause i totally suck at making the pages.”

I thought of (or remembered from somewhere)  this exercise with you in mind, you whom may have doubts. Clean out your purse and with the assorted ephemera you find create a journal page. This solves two problems! One you have a nice new clean purse to collect new stuff in and two you create a time capsule page in your journal of the places you’ve been and things you’ve collected.

Keep in mind this is your journal and no one can tell you how to express yourself except for you. But I did take my own advise and made a journal entry with my purse whatnots. Hope it brings you some inspiration. ;)

Notes :

(things I learned from this project)

~Purse,  In the UK  a handbag, On the East Coast of the US a pocketbook.

~January 14th, 2012 in  French can be written as le 14 janvier 2012 or le quatorze janvier mille cents douze but not as Deux le quatorzième janvier mille et onze. Especially sense “mille et onze” translates to 2011.
